It's hard to laugh when your world is crumbling around you and although the following may not be funny, it does
show that events and statements are not exclusive to you...
below is a compilation of what people have been accused of..
top of the bill has to be domestic violence, although it does happen it is surprising how many partners start
accusing their ex of domestic violence in their attempt to ruin their partners credibility.
The descriptions used amount to nothing less than attempted murder which
then begs the question why wasn't it reported when the alleged event happened.
One person told me that when he confronted his wife about the alleged attack
she calmly told him that the solicitor said if you don't put anything derogatory in the statement you will not be able to
build a case.
yourrights.org.uk is a very informative forum, although the debates do frequently become heated it also offers some sound
advice, to quote one poster.
"Unfortunately the bottom line is that all the advice / experience on this site is interesting but because judges
do their own thing there's no one answer to anything.
The decision you get has as much chance of being related to the
phase of the moon as anything else.
One thing I do suspect and others might have an opinion on this is
Male judge = get a male barrister,
female judge = get a female barrister!
To quote my cafcass office and barrister: this is NOT about the truth so stop harping on about it!
The best barrister you can get will probably be your favourite actor / actress. Anyone who can keep a straight
face while spouting garbage under oath will do. A familiarity with obsolete English words is handy too...
