We need to laugh, as much as we need to make others laugh...
Ordinary people out there do not realise the misery that is caused by the family courts.
Those that are involved first hand, for whatever reason are pushed both physically an mentally to their very extremes, suicides figures prove it and yet there is still no resolution...

As I decided to go as Litigant in person (that's self representation - cheaper than using a solicitor and usually produces a better result)
They told me that I should take it seriously and act the part.
So, as a good barrister will always wear a wig...
I just thought, what the heck... I bought the best one I could find...

It's hard to laugh when your world is crumbling around you and although the following may not be funny, it does show that events and statements are not exclusive to you...
below is a compilation of what people have been accused of..
top of the bill has to be domestic violence, although it does happen it is surprising how many partners start accusing their ex of domestic violence in their attempt to ruin their partners credibility.
The descriptions used amount to nothing less than attempted murder which then begs the question why wasn't it reported when the alleged event happened.
One person told me that when he confronted his wife about the alleged attack she calmly told him that the solicitor said if you don't put anything derogatory in the statement you will not be able to build a case.

yourrights.org.uk is a very informative forum, although the debates do frequently become heated it also offers some sound advice, to quote one poster.
"Unfortunately the bottom line is that all the advice / experience on this site is interesting but because judges do their own thing there's no one answer to anything.
The decision you get has as much chance of being related to the phase of the moon as anything else.
One thing I do suspect and others might have an opinion on this is
Male judge = get a male barrister,
female judge = get a female barrister!

To quote my cafcass office and barrister: this is NOT about the truth so stop harping on about it!

The best barrister you can get will probably be your favourite actor / actress. Anyone who can keep a straight face while spouting garbage under oath will do. A familiarity with obsolete English words is handy too...

Name Change.... When we started the group it was out of frustration caused by an unjust system. However, as we have progressed, we have come to realise that there is more urgent need for support to all those already affected by the family courts system, than a campaign for change. the word "campaign" suggests that we only have one aim, so with immediate effect we have changed the name to "care". it does not deter us from our original intentions, merely putting it into perspective regarding our priorities. There is a need for a change across the entire system...
